nuostabusis marazmas

Battle of Karánsebes

The Battle of Karánsebes was an early episode in the Austro-Turkish War of 1787-1791. Different portions of an Austrian army which was scouting for forces of the Ottoman Empire fired on each other by mistake, in a self-inflicted disaster. The battle took place on the evening of 17 September 1788.

Arthur Schopenhauer and national pride

“The cheapest form of pride by contrast is national pride. For it betrays in the one thus afflicted the lack of individual qualities of which he could be proud, while he would not otherwise reach for what he shares with so many millions. He who possesses significant personal merits will rather recognise the defects of his own nation, as he has them constantly before his eyes, most clearly. But that poor beggar who has nothing in the world of which he can be proud, latches onto the last means of being proud, the nation to which he belongs to. Thus he recovers and is now in gratitude ready to defend with hands and feet all errors and follies which are its own.”

A Third Army in the "War on Terror"

Word Soup: A Third Army in the "War on Terror"

We've been patient with you. We really have. Even after the crusades, the inquisition, Hitler's final solution, Bosnia, Rwanda, and every other bloodbath founded on the belief that religion fueled moral righteousness gives you the right to murder, occupy a country against the wishes of the rest of the world, or terrorize innocent civilians.

dar kartą: sveiki atvykę į karą

viskas. pizdec. prisižaidė pt. II

BBC NEWS | In Depth | Reporters' Log: War in Iraq:

Doha, Qatar :: Pete Hunt :: 0002GMT

A Central Command spokesman said soldiers from the American Third Infantry Division had signalled for the vehicle to stop.

It didn't. They fired warning shots. They then fired into the engine and as the vehicle, possibly a van, continued to move towards them, they opened fire into the passenger compartment.

There were 13 women and children inside. Seven of them were dead.

paaaaranojaaaa! :(

.. i just want to go home.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Conflict sapping forces' morale:

One Marine told me: "I've had enough of being fired at from all directions, I just want to go home".

prisižaidė. o bodycount auga abiejose pusėse. ir pyktis:

Baghdad :: Rageh Omaar :: 1904GMT

This city has not been spared today. Republican Guard positions have been repeatedly bombarded and as night fell residents made their way home, expecting more bombings tonight.

Today I visited the hospital where victims from last night's bombing in the city were being treated.

One man sat with his injured daughter. He was angry at what had been done to them.

We have to take revenge for this, I am prepared to go to America and blow myself up, we will kill their children as they have killed ours, he told me.

The news will not cover the war

citata iš Slashdot | Looking for Unbiased War News?

The news will not cover the war. You won't learn what it was like for some Iraqi soldier to get carbonized instantly by a gunship (because his country's despot ruler is a punk). Why bother? Read an AP or Reuters report and get on with your life, the one with your $3 latte on the way to work tomorrow morning, because your life ain't the one those Iraqis are living, and it sure as hell isn't anything like what FoxCNNMSNBC is gonna show you.

naršau news.google.com ir BBC "War diaries" puslapį gan nuolat, nes įdomu. bet tikrai pritariu citatai. "jie" "mums" rodo spalvotus paveixliukus.
