kokia visuomene lengviausia manipuliuoti? / what society is most easy to manipulate?

had an opportunity to take part in a youth exchange organised by one greek organisation. it was interesting to see a fately bad organisation and program being tolerated by the participants and the so called national group leaders. except the lithuanians ; ). everyone was complaining, but not realy doing anything to change something. after few lithuanian revolutions - well, running few fun sessions for the participants - the others started to join - sweden, jordan... basicaly, we did not turn everything round, but did everything in order to feel good and other participants to feel good.

i guess, if people do not take action in order to make "small" things work well for them, they probably wouldn't do anything in "big" ones either. "it'll be over anyway, we'll suffer it over" (translation from lithuanian). there is a lot of this kind of thinking everywhere. in lithuania we have a special syndrom of the sufferer* (*rupintojelis is a statue, popural in lithuania with jesus sitting with a sad face. rupintis means also - to care). the more you suffer, the better it is. it is these "others" who are responsible for your sufferings. i liked the expression of one syrian guy, who said - every morning you have a choice. to feel good, or not to feel good.

and there is anothor question i do not have an answer to yet: how can one make oneself feel good without upseting the others and respecting their rules? can you go to the swimming pool at night, when you are not allowed to, whereas during the daytime there is no time for that? well, it was fun to break this law ;)

so, what society is most easy to manipulate? my insight of the last week is - the one where everyone awaits from someone to do something and does not take action herself.
what do you think?
